» سرویس: Politics - ForeignPolicy

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned Afghan charge d’affaires to protest the recent Afghan media hype against the Islamic Republic’s treatment of illegal Afghan refugees residing in the country.

Iran also showed protest over murder of a young Iranian girl by an Afghan refugee in central Yazd Province.

The Afghan official, Shah Mardanqol received Iran's heavy protests over the issues.

The Head of Iranian Foreign Ministry for Afghanistan's Affairs Mohsen Pak-Ayin condemning the crime, called for Afghan refugees to obey rules and regulations.

He also asked for Afghan embassy and government to justify its nationals inside Iran.

Pak-Ayin criticized remarks of some Afghan officials who said that Iran's judicial treatment with the crimes goes against international rules and said, "Now 3 million Afghans are living inside Iran peacefully, but Iranian officials deal with foreign criminals based on the law."

The Afghan official on his part voiced sorrow over the issue and said, "We praise the Islamic Republic of Iran because of humane treatment with Afghan nationals and we believe that those who violate the rules should be dealt with judicially."
