Iran to start construction of Mid East largest golf club

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran plans to start construction of the largest golf club in the Middle East Wednesday in presence of Iranian Minister of Sports and Youth Mohammad Abbasi.

The project dubbed "The Land of Iranians" includes 27 holes and 9 artificial lakes.

The club spreads out about 930,000 meters around Tehran.

The initial steps for construction of the project started late 2011.

The golf club is only one part of the entire project which includes 23 other sports and entertainment uses.
